A bit about me
Over ten years I've become the senior technical voice at an award-winning digital agency — the person called upon when the brief is complex, the stakes are high, or the project is unlike anything they've tried before.
I've delivered work for organisations that cannot afford failure: the National Cyber Security Centre, Liverpool City Region, ORE Catapult, Curtins Engineering, and RHA. I built the technical foundations and led the digital implementation that brought the agency to ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards, which we have passed and held since 2022. I created a fully developed and architected a fully automated hosting platform on AWS that created a 236% monthly ROI, and developed an internal tool for the creative and digital team that cut project delivery times by 42%.
Most recently I've been developing a fully interactive 3D universe for EnerSys, a global energy solutions company — allowing users to explore the solar system and discover the satellites their batteries power. It is among the most technically ambitious projects I have taken on.

Liverpool City Region

During the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, hosted in Liverpool, coordinated cyberattacks brought down multiple local council websites. Liverpool City Region's platform — built and maintained on the AWS infrastructure I architected — sustained every attack without a single minute of downtime while neighbouring sites went offline.
Curtins Engineering

Curtins — a 65-year-old engineering consultancy with 13 offices across the UK and Ireland — needed a centralised platform their entire organisation could run on. I led the full architecture and delivery of their internal intranet over a 16-month engagement. It is now the operational backbone of the entire business.

I identified a critical bottleneck between the creative and digital teams: every design handoff required manual, time-consuming interpretation. I built a Figma plugin that transfers designs directly into Payload CMS through process templating — cutting project delivery time by 42% while maintaining the same quality assurance standards and improving overall profit margin.

EnerSys
An entire universe. Built in a browser.
EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions, supplying batteries to satellites orbiting Earth. I built them a fully interactive 3D universe — rendered entirely in the browser — that allows users to explore the solar system and discover the real-world satellites their batteries power. Technically, this is among the most ambitious things I have built. It launches shortly.

Now leading projects with developers of varying team sizes. Drove the full migration from PHP/WordPress to Next.js and Payload CMS.
